Claire Smyth of Conference Partners International Wins the 2024 IAPCO Innovation Award

Claire Smyth, Director of Sales and Marketing at Conference Partners International (CPI) as the winner of the coveted 2024 IAPCO Innovation Award, supported by IMEX. The IAPCO award, part of IAPCO’s Driving Excellence Awards Programme was presented at the IMEX Frankfurt Gala Dinner on Wednesday, 15th May by Sissi Lignou, IAPCO President-Elect and President and CEO of AFEA Congress. The Innovation Award recognises and celebrates those at the forefront of innovation, raising the standards of professionalism within the meetings industry. Claire's winning entry addressed the challenge faced by One Young World, a forum for young leaders when they brought their 2023 Summit to Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Next Generation Leaders earn their seat at the table at IMEX Frankfurt

The next generation of meeting industry leaders took the spotlight today at the "How to get a seat at the table'' workshop at IMEX Frankfurt, hosted by Association Partners and supported by the Hong Kong Tourism Board. Organised by IAPCO in partnership with AIPC, AMC Institute and IFES, the event provided a unique platform for Project Managers to network with industry peers from across the globe and to learn from industry experts about leadership and management. The half-day workshop at the Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel and Conference Center, brought together a diverse group of Project Managers from the four collaborating associations.

IAPCO Bestows Honorary Membership Upon Industry Leader Roslyn McLeod

IAPCO announced the nomination of Arinex founder, Roslyn McLeod OAM, as an Honorary Member of IAPCO during the 2024 AM&GA in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Roslyn’s commitment to, and support of IAPCO since 1997 when Arinex Pty Ltd became an accredited IAPCO member has been unwavering and her contribution to the wider global meetings and events industry is nothing short of remarkable. Roslyn started her career in the meetings and events industry with her specialist Japanese speaking tours and translation services over 52 years ago. Her company, Arinex, became one of the most successful PCO businesses in Australia. In 1999, Roslyn was awarded the Australian Commonwealth Government’s Member of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her outstanding contribution to the Australian tourism and meetings industry and retired in 2021
