IAPCO announced the nomination of Arinex founder, Roslyn McLeod OAM, as an Honorary Member of IAPCO during the 2024 AM&GA in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Roslyn’s commitment to, and support of IAPCO since 1997 when Arinex Pty Ltd became an accredited IAPCO member has been unwavering and her contribution to the wider global meetings and events industry is nothing short of remarkable. Roslyn started her career in the meetings and events industry with her specialist Japanese speaking tours and translation services over 52 years ago. Her company, Arinex, became one of the most successful PCO businesses in Australia. In 1999, Roslyn was awarded the Australian Commonwealth Government’s Member of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her outstanding contribution to the Australian tourism and meetings industry and retired in 2021

The IAPCO Council Meeting is hosted this week by Tourism Northern Ireland in Belfast. The international panel met with representatives from Tourism Northern Ireland, Belfast City Council, Visit Belfast, Visit Derry and ICC Belfast as well as industry professionals and key political stakeholders. During IMEX Gala Dinner last night, IAPCO awarded its 8th Driving Excellence Innovation Award to ezpmp, South Korea, and the work of Ms Hyojung Ok for her use of innovative digital technology to deliver a flawless carbon neutral event to a virtual audience at the P4G Summit in Korea in 2021.

Rebranded as IAPCO EDGE in 2016, the 2024 edition wrapped up in Antwerp on 18 January, proudly celebrating this remarkable milestone and its enduring impact on shaping the future of events.
