ICCA World Congress 2025

Uniting the Global Business Events Community. When our global community unites, the energy is unstoppable. The 64th ICCA Congress in Porto, Portugal, will offer unparalleled opportunities to connect, collaborate, learn and innovate.

Proud to be part of ICCA Congress 2025 (9–12 November, Porto) — Charting the Course.

IAPCO will join the conversation on the future of our sector. Through the IAPCO–ICCA MoU, we continue to support capacity-building across the global meetings community—because #UnlockingExcellence is achieved through #UnlockingEducation: educating for long-term quality and success.

Our contribution at a glance
Leadership perspective: On Monday and Tuesday, IAPCO President Sissi Lignou contributes to the Purposeful Business Models & Start-ups track—alongside Professor Hwabong Lee (Hallym University, South Korea; ICCAUni member) and Mário Ferreira (President, Alfândega do Porto / Mário Ferreira)—exploring how purpose informs resilient models, innovation, and long-term value.
Member expertise: IAPCO members Silvano Schaer (Congrex Switzerland) and Noa Sapir (Kenes Group) add practitioner viewpoints that connect strategy with execution.
Capacity-building in practice: The format pairs thought-provoking discussion with practical segments designed to catalyse new thinking and equip participants with actionable tools—repeated on Tuesday to widen access and momentum under our MoU.

Together with ICCA and peer associations, we affirm the importance of strategic collaboration across industry stakeholders—to advance the business events community and advocate for our industry, to the world, together.

The IAPCO HQ team will also be in Porto and looks forward to reconnecting with familiar colleagues and meeting new peers to explore thoughtful avenues for collaboration.

Global Socio-Political Impact Survey  Update 2026

A number of the leading organisations of the global meetings and events industry have joined forces again, to better understand the direct short- and long-term impacts of current global unrest, conflict and geo-political changes and to compare with results from a similar body of research conducted in 2025.

IAPCO, PCMA, ICCA, AIPC, IFES and AMCI have authored this survey to gather data from a combined global network of meetings and events professionals and organisations.

The survey results will be used to understand how geo-political policy changes impact our global industry and to assess their impact year-on-year.

Thank you in advance for your participation and support.
