Our contribution at a glance
• Leadership perspective: On Monday and Tuesday, IAPCO President Sissi Lignou contributes to the Purposeful Business Models & Start-ups track—alongside Professor Hwabong Lee (Hallym University, South Korea; ICCAUni member) and Mário Ferreira (President, Alfândega do Porto / Mário Ferreira)—exploring how purpose informs resilient models, innovation, and long-term value.
• Member expertise: IAPCO members Silvano Schaer (Congrex Switzerland) and Noa Sapir (Kenes Group) add practitioner viewpoints that connect strategy with execution.
• Capacity-building in practice: The format pairs thought-provoking discussion with practical segments designed to catalyse new thinking and equip participants with actionable tools—repeated on Tuesday to widen access and momentum under our MoU.
Together with ICCA and peer associations, we affirm the importance of strategic collaboration across industry stakeholders—to advance the business events community and advocate for our industry, to the world, together.
The IAPCO HQ team will also be in Porto and looks forward to reconnecting with familiar colleagues and meeting new peers to explore thoughtful avenues for collaboration.
