IAPCO is proud to play its part in “Redefining Tourism in a Changing World.”
On 20–21 October 2025, IAPCO President Sissi Lignou and CEO Martin Boyle will join the Global Tourism Forum (GTF) Annual Meeting 2025 in Brussels, Belgium.
Part of World Travel Week, the GTF Annual Meeting will serve as an international platform uniting government, industry, and academia to shape the future of travel, drive sustainable growth, and unlock tourism’s potential worldwide.
Sissi and Martin will champion the global business events community and the vital role of IAPCO Accredited PCOs in delivering economic growth, social impact, innovation, and lasting legacies for communities and destinations.
Martin Boyle will also speak as a Distinguished Speaker in the session “CEO Boardroom: The $10 Trillion Tourism Question – Where Will the Smart Money Go Next?”
💬 “It’s an honour and privilege to share the IAPCO perspective on the impact that business events contribute to global tourism on behalf of our over 10,000 meeting professionals across 180 member offices.” — Martin Boyle, CEO, IAPCO
Martin will be speaking alongside leaders from across the globe and a broad spectrum of industries, including E. Félix Tshisekedi (President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo), David Collado Morales (Minister of Tourism, Dominican Republic), Sabine Wendt (CEO, Visit Berlin), Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mawlawi (CEO, Visit Qatar), Justin Reid (Senior Director, Tripadvisor), and Senthil Gopinath (CEO, ICCA).
This year’s GTF AM, the flagship of World Travel Week in Brussels, will convene global leaders — including ministers, investors, industry pioneers and innovators — for visionary panels and high-level dialogues on sustainable tourism, innovation and global investment. With an exhibition welcoming 3,000+ delegates, GTF brings together the people and ideas shaping what’s next.
Representing the interests of IAPCO Members, Martin will spotlight the economic and social value that PCOs bring to tourism worldwide — and advocate for the profession’s world-class expertise and the legacies it creates for destinations and societies.
