The PCO - Issue #122 | Edition 1 (2026)

Issue 122 of The PCO Magazine by IAPCO further explores the theme of IAPCO’s AM&GA 2026 in Athens, “The Odyssey Reinvented: A very human journey toward the meetings of tomorrow.”

19 Mar 2026

The first 2026 edition of The PCO Magazine – Issue No. 122 is a special one, following IAPCO AM&GA Athens 2026.

Inspired by the event theme, “The Odyssey Reinvented: A very human journey toward the meetings of tomorrow,” this special issue explores how technology is transforming the way people meet and connect, while reaffirming the human wisdom, judgement and emotions that remain essential to flexibility, resilience and adaptation.

Drawing on the enduring qualities of Odysseus — resourcefulness and cleverness, patience and perseverance, leadership and decision-making — this edition reflects on how these timeless traits continue to shape the meetings of tomorrow.

The issue also brings together highlights and insights from AM&GA Athens 2026, alongside contributions from across the IAPCO community, all with the shared aim of supporting excellence across the global meetings industry.

Global Socio-Political Impact Survey  Update 2026

A number of the leading organisations of the global meetings and events industry have joined forces again, to better understand the direct short- and long-term impacts of current global unrest, conflict and geo-political changes and to compare with results from a similar body of research conducted in 2025.

IAPCO, PCMA, ICCA, AIPC, IFES and AMCI have authored this survey to gather data from a combined global network of meetings and events professionals and organisations.

The survey results will be used to understand how geo-political policy changes impact our global industry and to assess their impact year-on-year.

Thank you in advance for your participation and support.
