OIC Group opens a branch in Brussels and strengthens its presence in Europe: a new phase of international development begins

09 Jul 2025

OIC Group, a Professional Congress Organizer specialized in the design and management of medical-scientific, institutional, and corporate events in over 60 countries, announces the opening of a new branch in Brussels in Autumn 2025. The new office will be located in a dynamic, international setting, fully integrated with local institutions and designed to foster relationships, creativity, and operational flexibility. This strategic step confirms the European focus and the positioning of the company as a privileged partner for international associations and institutions.

Entering into the decision-making heart of the European Union represents a natural evolution for a group that, for 50 years, has built relationships and value within the world of medical-scientific events, investing with even more energy in innovation, sustainability and global connections.

2025 marks an important anniversary: fifty years have passed since the foundation in Florence, in 1975, of Bonamici Organizzazione Internazionale Congressi, which in 1982 became OIC Srl, to then be known as OIC Group. Half a century of history has seen the company grow, innovate, internationalize and establish itself as a point of reference within the sector. More than a celebration, this fiftieth year represents a significant step: a phase in which the company consolidates its path and strengthens its commitment to continue to grow and innovate both in Europe and internationally.

In this context, OIC Group’s rebranding will also be unveiled in Autumn - a new project that reflects the Group’s cultural and strategic evolution, and expresses a vision and identity increasingly aligned with its international role. Leading this new phase is Irene Serio, who has been with OIC Group for over 25 years and has been President of the Group since 2018. In April 2025, she assumed the role of CEO, continuing a path built over time and guided by a shared vision. Irene is the daughter of Annarita Bonamici, an important and inspirational figure for the world of association events, and she embodies the continuity of a solid family leadership, which looks to the future with pragmatism and ambition. Her strategic direction is oriented towards sustainable growth, digitalization and design quality, in line with the Group's mission to innovate while maintaining its values.

“We are going through a time of profound transformation, in which organizations must be agile, visionary and capable of operating in a truly international dimension. In our fiftieth year of activity, we choose to look forward, with the aim of strengthening the global presence of OIC Group, and consolidating a solid, innovative structure oriented towards generating sustainable and long-lasting value for customers, partners and territories. Growth, for us, is not a question of volumes but of impact: it means bringing design culture, operational reliability and strategic vision to the most relevant contexts of the global arena. We look to the future with ambition and responsibility, strengthened by a history that inspires us and a vision that guides us.” Irene Serio, CEO, OIC Group.
