November Reflections: Scientific Progress and International Collaboration with the signature of CONVIN
This November, Athens successfully hosted two major international events that brought together leading experts from the fields of coaching and paediatric dentistry, highlighting the city’s role as a centre for scientific dialogue and professional advancement.
From 20–23 November 2025, the 15th ICCE Global Coach Conference took place at the Eugenides Foundation, organised by the International Council for Coaching Excellence in partnership with the Hellenic Federation of Sports Coaches and Trainers. With organisational support from CONVIN S.A., the conference focused on the theme ‘The Coach in a fast-advancing technological society – Developing skills for 2030 and beyond.’ Participants had the opportunity to engage in keynote lectures, interactive workshops, research symposia and practical demonstrations, exploring how rapid technological progress is reshaping coaching, athlete development and education systems. The event also facilitated meaningful networking, encouraging new collaborations in the coaching and sport science community.
Just days later, the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry (EAPD) held the Athens MIH Symposium on 23–24 November 2025 at the St George Lycabettus Hotel. During this closed two-day meeting, twenty-six experts from across Europe reviewed recent scientific evidence and worked together to update guidelines for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of Molar-Incisor Hypomineralisation (MIH) – a condition affecting an increasing number of children internationally. Under the guidance of leading specialists, including Professor Sotiria Gizani, the symposium offered valuable insights into clinical challenges and long-term strategies aimed at improving the quality of life of young patients and their families.
Both events marked important steps forward in their respective fields, reinforcing the importance of shared knowledge, multidisciplinary dialogue and international cooperation.
