Why did you want to become an IAPCO member?

We started off as a small PCO based in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Along the way, we grew and grew. Today, we want to grow to the next level and being a part of IAPCO will give us the opportunity to do so.

What is going to change now that you have?

Getting the IAPCO certification has given my team the confidence to level up our game. We are open to collaborations and also to learning from IAPCO members.

What will be the impact on your day-to-day business

In the preparation for the certification process, we also examined and streamlined our internal processes. This was the additional benefit that I didn’t see coming when we decided to apply to be a member. In the immediate future, I am looking forward to sending some of my team members to IAPCO courses. This will help them to grow and establish themselves in this industry.

What will be the impact on the team

I can see the sense of achievement when I shared the great news with our team that we have earned our IAPCO certification. It was a boost to their confidence.

And anything else you like to add

I have a very optimistic outlook for our industry. As an Adjunct Professor at the Taylor’s School of Hospitality, Tourism and Events, I am deeply invested in nurturing the next generation of event professionals.

IAPCO’s global network presents a unique opportunity to develop international exchange programmes between my staff and other IAPCO-certified PCOs. These programmes will offer invaluable opportunities for our young talent. Living and working abroad exposes them to diverse cultures, business practices and event styles. This broadens their perspective, builds empathy, and ultimately benefits our companies and industry as a whole.

Please reach out to me if you are like-minded and are interested in such a programme. I’d be thrilled to explore potential partnerships that nurture future leaders of our field. I am reachable at [email protected].
