Erasmus S.A.: From Vienna to Our Teams: Bringing Communication and Storytelling Skills In-house

26 Jun 2025

Our Business Development Director recently had the pleasure of joining the Communication and Storytelling Workshops co-hosted by IAPCO and the Leading Centres of Europe in Vienna. The two-day programme offered more than just inspiration, it sparked ideas for how we can tailor powerful communication techniques to our own context.

Alongside peers from eleven IAPCO Member PCOs and twelve LCE institutions, we explored storytelling frameworks, persuasive messaging and collaborative roleplaying in an energetic and open exchange of ideas.

Building on this experience, we’ve already delivered tailored internal sessions to select team members who could immediately apply the insights into their roles. Encouraged by the positive feedback and impact, we’re now planning to roll out a company-wide training initiative, designed to embed these communication and storytelling techniques across all teams in a way that aligns with our culture and client goals.

We’re excited to translate shared knowledge into action – and to continue crafting stories that resonate.

The communication training was insightful and highly relevant. I believe that implementing the techniques we learned will significantly enhance the way we communicate. What stood out to me the most was the advice to avoid using negative language and, instead, to replace each negative word with a positive one.’ Elena V., Project Assistant

Global Socio-Political Impact Survey  Update 2026

A number of the leading organisations of the global meetings and events industry have joined forces again, to better understand the direct short- and long-term impacts of current global unrest, conflict and geo-political changes and to compare with results from a similar body of research conducted in 2025.

IAPCO, PCMA, ICCA, AIPC, IFES and AMCI have authored this survey to gather data from a combined global network of meetings and events professionals and organisations.

The survey results will be used to understand how geo-political policy changes impact our global industry and to assess their impact year-on-year.

Thank you in advance for your participation and support.
