In addition to organising the 5-day event in Berlin, CPO was also responsible for the social events. A very special highlight was the Closing Banquet at Station Berlin, an old industrial hall in the city centre. Filling this empty hall with life and presenting the theme of “Berlin – City of Contrast” was an exciting challenge, and all in a short space of time. But we know that well in our industry… The CPO team liaised with numerous service providers in order to implement even last-minute customer requests to everyone’s satisfaction and to ensure the success of this unique evening. The set-up alone took 36 hours with more than 150 employees.

“Berlin – City of Contrast” – A wonderful night with some challenges!

Graffiti-sprayed fire barrels, wall elements, ‘cool’ Berlin images, hip hop, street food stalls and drinks awaited the 1000 or so guests as soon as they arrived. The next wow effect was when the doors to the actual hall opened. Spectacular lighting, beautifully laid tables and very attentive service welcomed the guests. Oversized pictures throughout the room told Berlin stories.

A graphic recordist, who had already captured the lectures in the event hotel on large pictures, completed her work that evening. At the subsequent auction, the artwork realised a four-figure sum, which was donated to a good cause in Berlin.

Four different buffet stations – typically Berlin, with not only “curry sausage” (a classic berlin snack) , but also Italian, Arabic and Indian specialities – gave all guests the opportunity to choose their favourites and try something new.

An ‘award-winning break-dancing group’ thrilled the audience at the beginning: DDC has won the world championship in break-dance two times! The atmosphere was further enhanced by a great live band and a DJ. From then on, the specially delivered mirror dance floor was no longer empty. The guests celebrated the evening and certainly also the success of their numerous meetings over the last few days. The party went on until after midnight, and the guests and we will certainly remember it for a long time to come.
