Announcing the IAPCO AM&GA Athens 2026 Programme Overview

Are you ready for the Journey? Join us as we dive into an Odyssey reinvented — a journey where ancient inspiration meets modern mastery!

As we prepare to gather in Athens from 25–28 February 2026, this year’s IAPCO Annual Meeting & General Assembly will unfold as a modern Odyssey — a journey through storytelling, leadership, diversity, evolving industry pathways, future resilience and the next generation of leaders. Each day will explore a distinct theme and a series of defining moments that will inspire and guide the conversations to come.

Day 1 – Wednesday 25 February
Setting Sail on the Odyssey Reinvented
The IAPCO AM&GA 2026 will open with dedicated field trips to Athens’ most iconic monuments, together with a series of meetings that will set a friendly and collaborative tone. In the evening, the First-Timers’ Reception and the Opening Reception & Cocktail will officially launch our Athenian journey and bring the community together.

Day 2 – Thursday 26 February
Using Storytelling and Shared Achievements to Navigate the Meetings of Tomorrow
The second day will begin with the first keynote sessions, featuring a reflection on storytelling by Dr Aggeliki Kosmopoulou and an IOC perspective shared by Panos Tzivanidis. Delegates will then participate in the opening session of “The Dialogues”, facilitated by Nicky McGrane and Mathias Posch.

Day 3 – Friday 27 February
Exploring Strategic Pathways for the Future of Meetings
The third day will focus on strategy, leadership and industry insights. Discussions will include a think-tank exchange led by Fortune Greece, a keynote on the human side of technology by Pascal Morgan and a forward-looking Industry Thought-Leadership Session. The General Assembly will begin, and the IAPCO AM&GA 2026 journey will be highlighted, before the second session of “The Dialogues” takes place.

Day 4 – Saturday 28 February
Closing the Odyssey with Reflections, Resilience and Collective Wisdom
The final day will shift to personal and collective transformation, with keynote perspectives from Despoina Ploussiou, Dimitris & Aria Papanikolaou. The General Assembly will continue, leading into thought-leadership reflections before the official handover to Mumbai. Finally, a farewell celebration will bring the IAPCO AM&GA 2026 Athens to a warm and uplifting close.

This year’s IAPCO AM&GA will take us on a meaningful, human-centred Odyssey — from storytelling and strategic foresight to personal transformation and community celebration. The programme promises to blend inspiration with action, inviting every member to contribute to the meetings industry of tomorrow.
