AFEA Congress Team Participates in the Authentic Athens Marathon 2025

05 Dec 2025

AFEA Congress is very proud of its team for once again taking part in the Authentic Athens Marathon 2025, held on 8–9 November. Ten enthusiastic AFEA Congress runners participated in this iconic event, embracing the values of teamwork, determination and fair play.

A special congratulations goes to our colleague Chara Theodosi, who successfully completed the full forty-two kilometre route, an exceptional personal accomplishment and a moment of pride for our entire team.

The Authentic Athens Marathon is one of the world’s most historic running events, tracing its origins to the legendary ancient route from Marathon to Athens. Today, it remains a symbol of endurance and unity, attracting runners from across the globe.

This year, AFEA Congress also ran in support of Desmos, a non-profit organisation that serves as a vital link between donors and communities in need, promoting solidarity and positive social impact across Greece.

Our yearly participation in the event reflects our commitment to well-being, community engagement and sustainability, while strengthening our team spirit and celebrating the shared values that connect us through sport.

Global Socio-Political Impact Survey  Update 2026

A number of the leading organisations of the global meetings and events industry have joined forces again, to better understand the direct short- and long-term impacts of current global unrest, conflict and geo-political changes and to compare with results from a similar body of research conducted in 2025.

IAPCO, PCMA, ICCA, AIPC, IFES and AMCI have authored this survey to gather data from a combined global network of meetings and events professionals and organisations.

The survey results will be used to understand how geo-political policy changes impact our global industry and to assess their impact year-on-year.

Thank you in advance for your participation and support.
