EDI and Sustainability Committee

With sustainability being a key priority for the meetings industry, IAPCO decided in 2024 to join forces with other industry associations to ensure IAPCO members are working towards a common goal and a better future for us as a community. As part of this initiative, IAPCO has signed with the Net Zero Carbon Events initiative rolled out in 2024 as well as formed a task force / committee addressing the priority for IAPCO and its members.

The committee was formed in June and commenced working on the initiative since September, wherein they defined the strategy and a way forward for IAPCO. The strategy includes ensuring all IAPCO events – EDGE programs, Annual Meeting and General Assemblies and other in-person events are being carefully planned keeping sustainability at their core as well as monitoring and reporting on the carbon footprint from these events in order to have an offset plan in the future. Also, starting from 2025, IAPCO will also be rolling out various initiatives to support its member organizations on defining and driving their sustainability strategy as well as reporting back as a community to the wider industry on our collective efforts toward net zero initiative.

Global Socio-Political Impact Survey  Update 2026

A number of the leading organisations of the global meetings and events industry have joined forces again, to better understand the direct short- and long-term impacts of current global unrest, conflict and geo-political changes and to compare with results from a similar body of research conducted in 2025.

IAPCO, PCMA, ICCA, AIPC, IFES and AMCI have authored this survey to gather data from a combined global network of meetings and events professionals and organisations.

The survey results will be used to understand how geo-political policy changes impact our global industry and to assess their impact year-on-year.

Thank you in advance for your participation and support.
